California native, that now calls the Riverside neighborhood home, Patrick Healey is one of the co-owners of New Orleans Brewery Tour. Patrick wants to ensure that everyone going on a tour has a great time and gets home safely. New Orleans Brewery Tour is unique in the way they offer their guests pickup and drop-off at their door.
1. What products and services do you offer?
We operate a three hour three brewery tour seven nights a week. The tour includes door to door pickup and drop off, in depth tours of three New Orleans craft breweries including exclusive access to the brewery floors of at least two breweries, and upwards of 50 ounces of craft beer samples. Throughout the course of a nightly tour our knowledgeable guides educate our guests on the history of brewing in New Orleans, the stories behind each of the breweries we visit, and the process of brewing beer from start to finish while we explore the fermentors and canning lines of our favorite breweries.
Additionally we offer brewery tour parties for larger groups such as corporate clients or family reunions. For these events we typically lockdown at one brewery and plan a large party, usually including a classic Louisiana seafood boil, sides, and desserts. Throughout the event our guides mingle with the guests and offer small group tours of the brewing floor. These events range in size from 50-150 guests.
2. How long have you been in business?
We started running New Orleans Brewery Tour in the Spring of 2016.
3. How do people find you online?
If you want to read about how much fun people are having, TripAdvisor is a good place to start.
4. What is lesser known about your business that you wish more people knew?
We take pride in the fact that we were the first brewery tour in New Orleans, and that we are still the most full service brewery tour in town. We are the only brewery tour that does door to door pickup and drop off, and the only brewery tour that will never cancel on a guest due to small group size. I can’t tell you how many calls we get from folks that have had their brewery tour canceled because the company they booked with didn’t sell enough seats. We don’t ever want to be the reason someone has to scramble to reschedule their afternoon.
5. What’s your favorite aspect or project you’ve worked on?
While we do love running our nightly brewery tours, I personally really enjoy planning our big brewery tour parties. It’s a unique challenge that also presents the opportunity to showcase so many things we love about New Orleans and Southern Louisiana. In one four hour window, we can introduce 150 guests from all over the country and the world to amazing locally brewed craft beer, boiled gulf shrimp in a family style setting, jambalaya, and even top notch desserts from some of our most popular local bakers. For a few hours we get to show a large number of people why we love calling New Orleans home, and that news has to travel far and wide with those guests when they head back to wherever it is they call home.
