Katherine Caruso caught the New Orleans bug and moved down here in 2014 from Rayne, LA. (The frog capital!) She originally moved here for a job and a boy, her now-husband. She was working for a gift boutique, that went by a different name, that is in the same location she’s in now.
In January 2017, the previous owner gave her the opportunity to purchase the store – and she jumped on it! Katherine changed the name to X’s & O’s Gift Boutique and started making it all her own.
1. What products and services do you offer?
We are a one-stop-shop for all your gift-giving needs. We carry jewelry, home decor, bath & body items, baby gifts, and wedding gifts.
2. How long have you been in business?
2017 – I got the opportunity to buy it in January and made the transition to X’s & O’s in May of 2017.

4. What is lesser known about your business that you wish more people knew?
That we sell clothes too. I have t-shirts and dresses and kimonos. People don’t expect it because it’s a new venture for us.

The one on one connection with customers. I can help you pick out a special gift for the people you love. It’s even better when you find out how much they loved the gift too!
From a baby to an 80-year old, we can help you find a gift for them here.
I also love that I am able to put a personal touch on this store. I find out what my customers want and I bring it into the store.
