Furr-Ever Homes: Summer 2019

While you’re on the hunt for your next New Orleans home, you might be thinking about getting a pet soon after that purchase. Here at Be New Orleans – we are big supporters of adopting one of the many furry friends that are searching for their furr-ever home!

All of the animals featured here are from Animal Rescue New Orleans.

Blanco

Blanco, the bull terrier, is about five years old. While he is missing a front paw – a prosthetic is being made especially for him! Blanco is going to need a cat-free home, and you will definitely need to entertain him.

Blanco’s Real Estate Needs: Consider Bayou St. John, Mid-City, and Milan for close park proximity. Or you can get Blanco a big yard all for himself in the ‘burbs or Gentilly!

Occhi

While only a year and half old, Occhi keeps to himself. He knows how to walk on a leash now and just wants to be loved! Occhi likes a good walk to help with some of his puppy-like energy.

Occhi’s Real Estate Needs: Since he’s a quiet guy, you won’t have issues with him on the other half a double. Doubles, condos that allow medium-sized dogs, and walkable neighborhoods like the Lower Garden District and the Warehouse District are his jam!

Boots

Boots is a people pleaser! He loves everyone, including smaller children. He’s a perfect addition to any home – especially ones that love older pooches.

Boots’ Real Estate Needs: Since he loves saying hello to everyone, he will likely love living in the Bywater. Walk Boots over to Parleaux Beer Lab for some outdoor time together. Since he is getting long in the tooth, let’s avoid raise basement homes.

UPDATE: Boots found his furr-ever home in the Bywater with Barrett & Matt!

Curley

Curley is a fun guy! He loves playing with other cats and equally enjoys cuddling humans. His tail is naturally curly and makes him a perfect conversation piece in your own home.

Curley’s Real Estate Needs: For Curley’s laissez-faire, but curious, personality, grab him a home that has floor to ceiling windows. He’s going to love taking naps while basking in the sunlight. Think about Irish Channel and Riverside type homes for him.
