  • What: Making Mardi Gras
  • Where: New Orleans Historic Collection, 520 Royal Street, Tricentennial Wing, 3rd Floor
  • Time: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: The traditions underpinning the celebration and the usually unseen work of craftspeople, musicians, artists, and krewes large and small take center stage in “Making Mardi Gras,” sponsored by Blaine Kern’s Mardi Gras World and Kern Studios, on view at The Historic New Orleans Collection from January 6 to May 8, 2022.

  • What: BAYOU GRAS | Makers’ Market & 2nd Annual Bayou St. John Boat Parade
  • Where: The Greenway Plaza, 810 N. Norman C. Francis Parkway
  • Time: 11:00am
  • Info/Lagniappe: Start off the day with a boat parade on Bayou St. John! Watch or come boat your float! Afterwards enjoy some LIVE music, drinks, snacks, locally made art, costumes, gifts & more!

Sunday, February 6th

  • What: Bingo with the Big Easy Sisters 
  • Where: Second Line Brewing, 433 N Bernadotte 
  • Time: 6:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: Food from Frytastic (burgers + loaded fries). Beer and merch prizes for each round’s winner (4-5 rounds depending on time). MARDI GRAS THEMED COSTUME CONTEST with prize TBD. $10 initial buy in gets you one free draft beer and 10 bingo cards. And best of all, all proceeds from the sale of bingo cards go to a good cause! In addition to their goal of promulgating universal joy and expiating stigmatic guilt, The Big Easy Sisters raise money for under funded charities in our community.
