  • What: Bloodborne: The Red Death, an Unmasking By The Mudlark Puppeteers
  • Where: The Mudlark Theatre, 1200 Port St
  • Time: 7:30-9:30pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: “Bloodborne” is an examination of the life and work of Edgar Allan Poe. Told through various forms of puppetry and music, this piece expresses our cultural complexity with regard to the issues of race and servitude.

Tuesday, June 7th

  • What: Sound Bath at Longue Vue Gardens with Swan Michelle 
  • Where: Longue Vue Gardens, 7 Bamboo Road
  • Time: 4:00-5:15pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: This is a sound therapy, lying down concert, meant to recalibrate the nervous system and cleanse the energy body while in conscious stillness. Consciously, through listening, the healing benefits of receptivity are activated. Michelle has the largest collection of Crystal bowl collection in the region and has studied sound therapy in India and Bali.

  • What: Veggie Drag Bingo
  • Where: 800 Homer Plessy Way 
  • Time: 6:00-8:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: This June Drag Bingo Benefits Faubourg St. John Community Garden. Bingo boards are $8, you can buy additional ones for $2 at the event. Food and Drinks available. This is an all ages, outdoor event! Come support the gardens that make our neighborhoods so vibrant and help us keep growing in New Orleans!

  • What: Fats Domino Tribute
  • Where: NOPSI Hotel, 317 Baronne 
  • Time: 5:30-8:30pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: This 3-hour performance by local legend John G. Autin is complimentary for hotel guests and the community. Food and drink will be available to purchase at Public Service and Henry’s Gin Bar.

Friday, June 10th

  • What: Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival
  • Where: Jean Lafitte Auditorium, 4953 City Park St
  • Time: 5:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: The festival will include amazing live music, Louisiana food, swamp tours, kayak rentals, carnival rides and a Louisiana art walk. The event space includes the town’s Wetland Trace, a boardwalk trail through a 41-acre cypress swamp nature preserve, adjacent to the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Swamp Tours will also be offered leaving from the Wetland Trace. We will also have eight coastal non-profits there offering information and demonstrations.

Saturday, June 11th

  • What: Easy Refrigerator Pickling Workshop
  • Where: 1924 Jackson Ave  
  • Time: 11:00am-12:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe:Whether it’s cucumbers, onions, carrots, or okra, a lot of veggies can be pickled into something sweet, spicy, salty, and crunchy. Join us for this free workshop on how to pickle just about anything using a simple brine and without the need for canning. We’ll have veggies and herbs on site to use but feel free to bring any of your favorites!

  • What: Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival 2022
  • Where: Armstrong Park, 701 N Rampart 
  • Time: 11:00am
  • Info/Lagniappe: Join us on June 11 & 12, 2022 for the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival 2022 presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation in Louis Armstrong Park, 701 N. Rampart Street. The festival features live Louisiana Cajun and Zydeco music plus large local food and arts markets. Admission to the park is free and open to the public.
