I rode my bicycle past your window last night, I roller-skated to your door at daylight.
One of the only Orleans parish communities located on the Westbank of the city – It seems like there are two types of people who live in Algiers. You are either one of the families that have been there for generations or one of many who figured out there are plenty of affordable housing options that aren’t far from downtown.
There are a bunch of little neighborhoods and subdivisions within this large section of New Orleans. Streets are lined with oak trees and you can find school children riding bikes. Even with the suburban feel, you can still find a great local business to support.
With more traditional housing styles, you won’t find many shotgun homes in Algiers. You will find cottages, Georgians, and ranches.
Lagniappe: 10 minutes to downtown. Krewe of NOMTOC rolls every Mardi Gras.
