One Bedroom Homes: March 2024

one bedroom homes in New Orleans 2024

If you’ve been wanting to buy a house but don’t want colossal upkeep or a condo – have you considered a one-bedroom home in New Orleans?

One-bedroom homes are typically more affordable and require less maintenance. They also give you a chance to own your space without sharing walls. I know people like the idea of buying a double and renting the other half, but being a landlord is not for everyone.

Here is a look at some of the one-bedroom homes in New Orleans available as of March 27, 2024!

1638 Newton | Algiers Point

Listed by Patricia Stevens with Hera Realty

Listed at $139,500 and in good condition, this could be one of the most affordable options on the market!

The great stuff: The location. It’s close to all that Algiers Point offers but with a reasonable price tag. You’ll also be in one of the city’s most walkable neighborhoods!

The good stuff: It’s a FannieMae HomePath property. This means closing costs assistance is available!

The not-as-good stuff: The street is busier. While this wouldn’t be a deal-breaker for us, it’s something to remember. Also, you must qualify for this home since it’s a FannieMae HomePath property and occupy it. This is not an option for an investment property.

1034 Dauphine | French Quarter

Listed by Samara Poche & Jennifer Saltaformaggio w/Latter & Blum

Walking distance to Port of Call, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop, and everything else the Quarter offers has me sold on the location. This one-bedroom home, which is 1280 square feet, is listed for $1.05M. 1034 Dauphine is also listed in excellent condition!

The great stuff: The details. They didn’t overlook a SINGLE one. The chandeliers, the hardwood floors, the crown molding – all of the details are exquisite!

The good stuff: The courtyard. WOW. It’s exactly what you expect from a French Quarter home, but it’s even better.

The not-as-good stuff: Honestly, we can’t find anything to complain about. Sure, the price tag is hefty—but did you look at the photos?! She’s a babe, and single-family homes in the Quarter are hard to come by. But if we had to pick something, it’s that parking isn’t included.

930 Orleans | French Quarter

Listed by Jane Krug & Steve Richards with Latter & Blum

This classic side-hall Victorian in the Quarter is 954 square feet and listed at $699k!

The great stuff: The location on the edge of the French Quarter means quieter evenings for you at home. We love its placement, and it’s a classic facade!

The good stuff: The hardwood floors, the shutters, and the side hall. These features make it truly New Orleans and leave your friends envious.

The not-as-good stuff: It needs some upgrading. But, this isn’t a bad thing! This is the perfect opportunity to turn this house into a million-dollar home! You get to pick the finishes and details that YOU love!
