In the middle of the Warehouse District, you will find the Julia Place Condominiums at 333 Julia. Built sometime in the 1880s, this condo building combines two buildings. The five-story building on the right once housed the Bemis Bag Company, which made cloth and burlap bags to ship many items out of our busy port. You can see the name BEMIS across the top of the building. Formerly apartments, they were turned into condos in 2005.
With 105 units, there are no residential units on the 1st floor, either. 333 Julia is equipped with a security gate that requires a fob for entry or to be buzzed in by a resident. There are also cameras monitoring the building. Property management is right across the street, too.
What’s to LOVE about 333 Julia
What’s not to love about this location? Incredible restaurants, art galleries, and bars are all within walking distance. Even the WWII Museum is close by!
The Julia Place Condos require a 6-month minimum for leases, so you don’t ever have to worry about short-term guests being loud and rowdy.
Many units have large windows, tall ceilings, and original wood floors. If you want some character, 333 Julia isn’t lacking in their condos. The floor plans vary, so don’t expect to see the same unit twice!
If you ran out of milk or need a quickly prepared lunch, Nesbit’s Market is conveniently located on the corner of Commerce and Julia for these needs.
