Get Into The Real Estate Game

I’m going to wait for interest rates to come down. I’m going to wait for houses to get cheaper.

I’m going to wait for a spouse to buy with.

I’m going to wait for my dream home.

We have literally heard allllll the reasons not to buy a home. But if you ever want to build generational wealth or afford that dream, one day, then you have to get into the game at some point.

Interest rates

If you’re waiting for the interest rates of 2020-2022, then you’re NEVER going to buy a home. You’re better off starting a disease-making lab and getting another global pandemic going than waiting for interest rates in the 2.5-3.5% range again.

We are still at historically low rates compared to what your parents or grandparents paid. Trust me. These are not horrific interest rates. And people are paying them.

Waiting for houses to get cheaper

Friends. You can’t have low interest rates and low housing prices. And even with our “elevated” rates, we have not seen a huge dip in prices. Some houses may not have increased in price from the last purchase – but many have not dropped significantly lower unless the condition warrants that.

Waiting to find a partner

Single women are outpacing men among homebuyers, accounting for 22% of homebuyers last year alone! There is no need to wait for anyone to get into the real estate game. You’ve got yourself, and then you can get what YOU want.

Waiting for a dream home

Getting into the real estate game will offer you the opportunity to get into your dream home one day. Most people do not get to buy their dream home as their first purchase. In fact, people use that first home to leverage further down the road. Maintain the house. Improve the house. Sell the house down the line at a profit and launch yourself into that idyllic fantasy home you’ve got in your head.

We see clients all the time who have gone this route. They are so happy they bought their tiny little cottage or brick ranch to get them to where they are today.

Getting into the real estate game means buying the non-perfect house. Hell, we encourage you to buy something that needs love so you can make the improvements and not pay top dollar for someone else’s cheap flip! Buy the cheaper house with the older components and budget for improvements. You are much more likely to build more equity this way. Buy the ugly house and then sell it cute!

But if you don’t ever step foot into the real estate arena for whatever reason, then you’re stuck paying someone else’s mortgage, at risk of being put out if they sell the house, and not being able to do the things you want in your space. GET 👏 IN 👏 THE 👏 GAME 👏
