What color is CORAL anyway? Is it pink or is it red or is it orange? Coral is a mix of red and orange, lightened with white. Typical coral hues contain more orange than pink. It’s a pink-orange or an orange-pink!
A little history… the first recorded use of coral as a color name in English was in 1513. The name coral is from marine invertebrates decorating the bottom of the sea.
How does it make us feel? Energized, Crisp & Feminine! This is a vibrant color that exudes confidence and fun!
Pair it with? TEAL is my favorite pairing! Followed up by mint green. All shades of blue: royal, denim, navy, robins egg, aqua, or turquoise – are all splendid! Also for a so fresh and so clean look try it with white. Looking to give more masculine energy? Don’t be afraid to pair it with charcoal gray to make a strong statement. If you want a more neutral counterpart, it can complement taupe perfectly!
Coral in Action!
House Beautiful indeed! Loving how the coral complements the architectural style and other colors.
Coral feels more earthy and calm when paired with wood and lush green plants. Definitely makes the bedroom feel like a sanctuary.
Matchy-Matchy is so overrated! White, pink, coral & gray make a subtle but fun setting!
A modern bathroom that feels so fresh and so clean.
