One of my favorite aspects of being involved in people’s real estate transactions is learning more about them, how they tick, and what they value. What is important to some people in a home means nothing to others. It’s one of the most beautiful things about working in this industry.
However, when it comes to seeing houses, we hear this ONE thing that absolutely drives me INSANE. Many homebuyers think they have to see tons of houses before picking their home. I am here today to debunk this! How many houses should you see before picking one to buy? IT DOESN’T MATTER!
WHAT?! Are you saying people should buy a house even if they have only seen one house?
YUP. I sure am! You don’t have to see 50 houses to choose one to buy.
Many of our clients see only one home and know it’s the right one for them!
What if I’m not sure about this house?
Then maybe it’s not the house for you. And then we encourage you to see more homes!
What if I love this house but worry about another house coming on the market?
I have some news for you… There will ALWAYS be another house. What you have is called FOMO. If you don’t love a house enough to stop looking elsewhere, then maybe you should keep looking for a different option. However, let me add that some people just never stop perusing Zillow, and that’s a whole other problem. At some point, you have to stop searching for other options, or you’re never going to be satisfied.
What we want you to REALLY know!
It’s ok to see one home and fall in love. It’s also ok if you need to see many houses to find the right fit for you. This varies for every person. And there are many different variables – is the real estate market hot? Are the options lackluster? Do you have very specific needs? There are many reasons that some people search for the right home longer than others. There is literally no right or wrong answer here. It’s finding what’s right FOR YOU!
