  • What: Chewbacchus does Midsummer Mardi Gras: Blue Moon Rising 
  • Where: 8385 Oak St
  • Time: 6:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: Join the wild and wonderful nerddom of Chewbacchus as we take to the streets for Midsummer Mardi Gras. The Krewe of Oak’s theme this year is “Blue Moon Rising ” in honor of the late Walter Wolfman Washington. Our interpretation of the theme is “That’s no moon…” The route will begin and end on Oak Street, eating its tail like a giant ouroboros. We will parade down oak, up and down Carrolton, and returning to party on Oak St. by the Maple Leaf. There will be a big stage at the 8400 block of Oak St, bands, drinks available for sale on the street, and the unique brand of revelry that only happens at MSMG.

  • What: Drag Bingo for A Tail in Need
  • Where: Kingfish Cider, 355 Iris Ave
  • Time: 3:00-6:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: $5 a card for all games played which are as many as we can fit in 3 hours about 6-8. Fun prizes. No cash. All proceed from game go to rescue. Hosted by Princess Stephaney.
