  • Info/Lagniappe: Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) is set to spread rock vibes throughout its spectacular annual holiday tour. The multi-platinum rock group has unveiled the exciting details of their highly anticipated 2023 winter tour, titled “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve – the Best of TSO & More.” This year’s tour promises a new and larger presentation of the beloved holiday tradition, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,” which has captured the hearts of multiple generations.

  • What: Third Annual Pothole Christmas Tree Lighting + Local Artist Popup 
  • Where: Pete’s Irish Channel Bar, 701 Sixth St
  • Time: 6:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: We’re hosting our Third Annual Pothole Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony! We’ll have crafts to make your own ornaments to add to the tree! Degenerate Burger will be popping up with amazing burgers! We’ve got a bunch of local artists popping up! We’ll be lighting the tree around 8:00!

Saturday, December 16th

  • What: Train Rides with Santa 
  • Where: Louisiana Steam Train Association, 1501 Jefferson Hwy
  • Time: 9:00-4:30pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: Santa arrives at 10:00 AM. Capture the joy with family photos with Santa. Join us on a short train ride in our open-air gondola or caboose pulled by one of our historic diesel locomotives. Food, drinks and merchandise are available from several local vendors. Proceeds go toward rebuilding and maintaining SP 745, the lone surviving Louisiana-built steam locomotive!

  • What: Holiday Home Tour 
  • Where: The Cabildo, 701 Chartres 
  • Time: 12:00-4:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: The self-guided walking tour includes interesting architectural styles and home furnishings, as well as a variety of collections of Christmas decorations. This December fundraiser is a prelude to and helps provide funding for the highly anticipated Caroling in Jackson Square later in the evening.
