- What: Algiers Mardi Gras Festival
- Where: Federal City, 2300 General Meyer

- Info/Lagniappe: Get into the Mardi Gras spirit with a community parade, food, and lots of music. A community parade kicks off the event at 9 a.m. honoring this year’s Grand Marshal. The parade will feature local Algiers schools marching bands, cultural groups, and dance groups. The parade starts at Lamarque Street and L.B. Landry Avenue, then turns right on Newton Street/General Meyers then a left into the Federal City Grounds.
