  • What: Hell Yes Fest: Comedy Festival Closing Night

Tuesday, November 15th

  • What: Rye Whiskey: A Cocktail Class
  • Where: NOLA Boards, 4228 Magazine
  • Time: 6:30-8:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: Bourbon may still be the king of American spirits, but RYE whiskey no longer plays second fiddle. It rides side by side sharing much of the same make-up as Bourbon and has gained much of the same respect. RYE is still the preferred ingredient in many classics and that’s what we are going to explore. Come learn about RYE’s place in American pre-prohibition cocktail culture and how it’s finding its way now.

  • What:  BINGO WAS HIS NAME-O with Take Paws
  • Where: Bayou Beer Garden, 326 N Norman C Francis 
  • Time: 6:00-8:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: We are partnering up this month with a lovely foster based rescue Take Paws for another fun BINGO night! $5 a card for 3 for $10. We will have multiple fun rounds with some amazing prizes. Many many adoptables will be joining us for a fun night out! All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Take Paws.

  • What: Beams and Brews visits 3232 Grand Route St. John
  • Where: 3232 Grand Route St John
  • Time: 5:30pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: Inhab Group, with the aid of Southkick Historic Preservation, is completing an extremely sensitive restoration, retaining as many architectural features as possible while utilizing historic tax credits. The PRC’s Beams & Brews offers a chance to tour the renovation and enjoy free drinks.

  • What: 2022 NOAGE Gala
  • Where: Audubon Zoo, 6500 Magazine
  • Time: 7:00-10:00pm 
  • Info/Lagniappe: A fundraiser for New Orleans advocates for LGBTQ+ elders. There will be music, dancing, food, an open bar, and all the great fun you’ve come to expect from our annual gala. All funds raised will benefit NOAGE, helping to ensure that we can continue the work we do on behalf of our elders.

Saturday, November 19th

  • What: Thee Phantom & The Illharmonic Orchestra
  • Where: Howlin’ Wolf, 907 S Peters
  • Time: 6:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: Combining the raw energy and passion of Hip-Hop, with the beautiful sounds of orchestra accompaniment, The Illharmonic is just the 3rd Hip-Hop group to headline their own performance at the famed Carnegie Hall. The ensemble will be making their New Orleans debut on November 19th!

  • What: 5th Annual NOLA Trans March of Resilience
  • Where: 700 Elysian Fields Ave
  • Time: 11:00am-3:00pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Please join us as we March to celebrate the memory of those lost and remind our community that through it all we are resilient. We will have free food, a DJ, and guest speakers.
