The musician will play a demo on their instrument, explain a little bit about their instrument and their background, then we’ll read the story with musical accompaniment. This experience is FREE with no ticket or registration required.

  • What: Marigny Opera Ballet Presents: Agua Mole Pedra Dura
  • Where: Marigny Opera House, 721 St Ferdinand
  • Time: 7:30pm
  • Info/Lagniappe: A program of two works choreographed respectively by Jarina Carvalho and Diogo de Lima. A journey through the complex, quick and diverse rhythms, the smooth styles of Brazilian music from 19th century on. Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Geovane Paiva Santos will compose the scores and lead the ensemble. This program’s title [soft water, hard rock] comes from a Portuguese proverb honoring perseverance, necessary for ten seasons of great dance and music.
