Two Chicks Walking Tours owner Christine Miller is a New Yorker by birth and has called New Orleans home for more than 30 years. When she’s not engaged with tasks related to being the Head Chick in Charge she can be found strutting on the streets as a proud member of the Pussyfooters. Christine and her talented assistants take their roles as glittery cultural ambassadors seriously, sharing their love of Louisiana and enthusiasm for all things Cajun and Creole.
1. What products and services do you offer?
We offer small group public tours and custom private walking tours through the enchanted city of New Orleans. We walk with a limited number of guests when compared with other larger companies. Our titles include classics like the Garden District paired with Lafayette Cemetery and of course the sacred site of St. Louis #1 but also include edgier in house created themes such as DEAD Sexy and Brothels, Bordellos and Ladies of the Night.
2. How long have you been in business?
3. How do people find you online?
While we can be found at online at twochickswalkingtours.com we have generated over 3,000 reviews online on various platforms including TripAdvisor, Yelp!, Google and numerous recommendations on FaceBook. We’ve also been featured in numerous online posts and blogs. We consistently maintain a 5 star rating. We also have an Instagram account @2chickswalking.
4. What is lesser known about your business that you wish more people knew?
We believe in and support the New Orleans community to a high degree. We’ve sponsored the Pussyfooter’s Blush Ball, the Southern Decadence Parade, and support the efforts of Women with a Vision. We’ve donated tours to a large variety of local and national charities over the years. While our guides are a majority female, we do have some roosters in the hen house. We’ve been featured in Marie Claire’s “Stylish Insider’s guide for New Orleans” and our Garden District tour was named in Travel Weekly. We also love providing custom and private experiences, tailoring experiences is an interesting part of our business.
5. Lagniappe Info.
It might be interesting to know that as the owner of the company, I love consuming travel and going on tours as much as I like producing them and being a member of the tourism community. I traveled to France in Oct. 2018 and met with descendants of the Baroness Micaela Almonaster-Pontalba. I’ve also been to Spain, Mexico and Puerto Rico in the last year and have researched some exciting innovations for the company.
