Corridor Studios, in Mid-City New Orleans, is an unassuming warehouse. You never know what you’re going to find behind those sizable metal doors. Corridor’s owners, Gabe & Aly (and their sweet pooch Pika), led me in – where I immediately began profusely sweating. We all need to give a little more respect to the people making Mardi Gras floats, in 100 degree July heat.
1. What products and services do you offer?
We do many things. It’s hard to narrow down. We offer mold making, sculptures, theming elements, & centerpieces for experiential marketing campaigns. We also make things from the prototype to the finished product.
2. How long have you been in business?
We have a combined experience of 18 years. Sculpting since 2006. We opened Corridor Studios in 2015.
3. How do people find you online?
4. What is lesser known about your business that you wish more people knew?
When you hire larger companies and firms to do sculpting, they just hire us. You can come directly to us.
5. What’s your favorite thing about doing this? Favorite Project?
Favorite project is definitely the Krewe of Lewd Energizer Bunny. We worked with Studio 3 on that.
In general, I like designing and creating something that didn’t exist before. I also enjoy making tools and jigs for these sculptures.
I also really like the Iron Man that we are making for Krewe of Comogo in Plaquemine, LA.
