Alex Kriegsmann of Alex’s Bikes in the Marigny is a laid back guy who knows a ton about bikes. When asked for a bio, this is what he supplied us with:
My favorite color is purple, I am a dedicated fan of all things Basketball, my spirit animal is a Bear, I think bicycles are about as neat as it gets, have a very distinct disdain for most pastas, especially spaghetti.
1. What products and services do you offer?
We offer full-service bicycle repair, bicycle sales, rentals, consultation, and a well stocked, array of components and accessories to meet all needs and budget.
2. How long have you been in business?
We opened our doors in February 2016. I like to say we are in “season 4” now.
3. How do people find you online?
I think mostly google maps and associated google reviews. We’ve been fortunate that our customers have really helped boost our online representation on that platform- and seemingly the positive experiences told in the reviews have encouraged a number of individuals to give our services a try.
4. What is lesser known about your business that you wish more people knew?
Hmmm.. I think early on many people assumed we were a rental-oriented business given our proximity to the French Quarter; while this is something we proudly offer, repair and service have always been our main focus. If you have a squeak or a clunk, I’m confident we can unsqueak and/or unclunk it.
5. Lagniappe Info.
We are open 6 days a week but closed on Mondays because Garfield the cat and I share the same disdain for that day.
Stop by and meet at Alex Tuesday through Sunday at 607 Marigny St.
