25-year-old rap and hip-hop artist Robbie Heindel is better known as his stage name Yung Bob. Born and raised in Algiers, he found a love for making music at a very young age. Yung Bob’s passion and energy are like lightning on stage – it’s real and raw.
When he’s not on stage, you can find him skateboarding in various locations around New Orleans.
1. Tell me about your music.
I make my music based on life experiences and the environment around me. Other times I just go off how I’m feeling that day. Some people say I sound like a mixture of old mob style crime music with a touch of sensitivity.
2. How long have you been creating music?
I have been making music since I was in 7th grade when I was 13. I started by joking around with some friends at the lunch table but eventually, I realized it was something I really wanted to pursue.
3. How do people find you online?
4. What is lesser known about your business that you wish more people knew?
One thing I wish people knew about me and my music is that I work very hard at what I do and I put so much effort into it for the outcome to be very little most of the time. Another thing is I seem so outspoken on stage but when I’m not performing I’m usually quiet and like to hang in the background. I never like being the center of attention.
5. Lagniappe Info.
I have an album coming out this summer called “Breaking Bob” that I’ve been putting my all into over the past year. Hopefully, I get the feedback I feel it should.
